CONCEPT
The post-modern design movement was used to describe a time in which art ceased to reflect the ideas of modernism. It is characterized by the lack of “strong divisions of genre”. Postmodernism was a drastic transformation from the utopian ideals of Modernism, which were based upon simplicity and clarity. Bring Me the Horizon are a British Rock band who wanted to take on the conversation about suicide and depression, especially during the time of a worldwide pandemic and lockdown. Here my goal was to combine the idea of the post-modern design movement using specifically April Greiman’s style and applying it to the ideas of Bring Me the Horizon’s album. In order to do this, I had to use many different textures and edited images to give a look of a technological glitch.
