Our design is all about encouraging our recipients to break barriers and stand out from the rest. We understand that choosing a career is not easy, so we aim to facilitate that process with our piece. In the front cover, we introduce the recipient’s major of interest with a relevant image. The image shows someone, usually of the gender less represented in the major, working in an industry related to this recipient’s intended major. This image is broken down into a grid that highlights the person working in the major’s respective field. This means that the recipient can break out of anything just like the person in the front cover. The typography under the image acknowledges the recipient and the designers because this establishes trust. In the back, we structured the text into three parts. First, we present an interesting fact. Second, we give reasoning behind it. Third, we give a few job titles for the recipient to consider. This leads the recipient to find more information with the QR code. Under that, we included an image of the building for each major in the same style as the front cover. Furthermore, we know that each industry is changing fast, so we represented that with our type and image placement. Lastly, we also represented movement with the grids on each image.
